Hummus recipe!

I have made my best batch of hummus yet with one quirky little ingredient… Sunfower seeds. It adds a nice little nutty taste to it!

- 1 can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans)

- 1-2 tbsp of tahini

- 1/3 cup water

- 2-3 tbsp lemon juice

- ¼ cup sunflower seeds

- sunflower oil

- 2-3 tbsp olive oil

- 2 tbsp minced garlic

- paprika, sea salt, pepper

First. Run the chickpeas through the food processor. Then scoop into blender.

Second. Run the sunflower seeds through the processor with the sunflower oil. Scoop into blender.

Third. Add the rest of the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth.

* I’m sure this could all be thrown into a super awesome food processor or blender, but I have the worlds smallest food processor and a super cheap blender so I did it in multiple steps. Bleh.

A website I wish I hadn't found.

Seriously. As if, I don’t spend enough time on the WWW. Then I found this. They have everything I could ever want… ESPECIALLY things that come in the shape of SLASH have anything to do with cupcakes. Take a look for yourself.

THIS!

and this.

and this PERFECT combo of cupcakes and teacups.

And if i had this i could stop magic-markering my fingers.

food! nom nom nom!

I had recently read about vegan overnight oats.. and was skeptical... yet still intrigued! So last night I made a batch and gobbled them up for breakfast this morning. SO DELISH. A perfect summer breakfast because they are served chilled.

I based my concoction off one from Oh She Glows.

I mixed up some old fashioned oats, vanilla extract, a smashed banana, flax seed, and a drizzle of honey! Put it in the fridge overnight, and top it with whatever you please in the morning! I added a scoop of peanut butter on top of mine, and layered some maple syrup in the middle.

Since I was pre-making breakfast. I decided to go ahead and make part of my lunch/dinner the night before too!

Chickpea Salad
- Can of Chickpeas (drained)
- Chopped carrots
- Chopped purple onion
- Drizzle of EVOO
- Feta Cheese
- Parmesan Cheese
- Season to taste!

Then I marinated some cucumbers overnight in EVOO, Apple Cider Vinegar, finely chopped purple onion, Sugar, Salt, and pepper!

I added a whole-wheat pita tuna melt to the mix and called it a day.
I felt super energized today. Ran around and did some shopping, went to class, and hit the gym.

P.S. both the Overnight Oats and Chickpea salad are super filling! Try them!

FYI

Every lovely lady loves LOUBOUTINS!
Correction. Every lady NEEDS a pair of Louboutins.
That being said. I am fresh out. I am accepting donations.

I stumbled upon....

This little piece of glory last week at circa 1857 for only $35. I love it. Wobbly-wheels and all.
I'm going to stock it with a few bottles of wine and a pretty decanter and some nice glasses!
Also, Circa 1857 has the yummiest little cafe inside, Yvette Maries. Tis delish.

Yesterday I spent Father's day at my parents abode, where we ate a magical meal. Then ended up having a crafternoon. Using this template, we made these flowers:

First post! Bathroom makeover!

I have been in the long process of updating my home. It's totez not a speedy process. But here
is my most recent update. If only I had pictures from the very beginning. But consider this one of those stories that begins in media res. The ends going to be GOOD!

<<<- Please notice the two layers of linoleum. Classy.

<<<- Another before picture.

<<<-In progress.

<<<- And Done!

Unfortunately the bathroom as a whole is not... Still need to paint the bathroom door and change the hardware. It'll be painted the same gray as the cabinets. And I definitely need to ditch the woodgrain toilet seat cover. Prior to the "before" pictures I just posted. The bathroom was painted a dingy white and the floor molding/cabinets were both unstained wood.
