Balcony escape

I have a tiny balcony attached to my room that gets no love and I've been wishing for an update! Here is a collections of inspiration I gathered for when I finally do get to give it a make-over.

In love with this video.

This is going to be me one day

Product Favorites: Skincare/Body

Tan towels: I have used every single self tanner out there and this is by far my favorite. It gives even coverage, non-streaky, and the best part: I don't smell awful for the entire next day. There are a few other self-tanners that are just as efficient in giving a good even glow, but the smell is pretty dank. Although, there is supposedly a new self-tanner out by VS. I'm going to give it a go and I'll let you know how it is.

NIVEA: I love all the nivea products. Especially the old school tins of hand cream. They smell good and feel better.

EOS Shave cream: I love this stuff. I'm a sucker for packaging - so thats what really drew me to it. But I love moisture on my legs and I'm sensitive. It works. BUT if you love a super rich lather, than this is not for you.

Sublime bronze One day glow: If I'm too lazy to put on self-tanner on the night before an event, I slap this on the morning of, and then can wash it off that night. No yucky smell - no commitment.

Bio-oil: buy it and put it all over you. you won't regret it.

Olive Oil: I cover myself in olive oil from time to time. I soak my hair in it for a few hours, then I usually mix it with epsom salt or bath salts to make a great scrub for the body. Natural. Cheap. Handy.

Spring sprang sprung.

Rose/Camel

Rose/Camel by getbirdkite

I just made a Polyvore account and I love it... and to think that all this time I had been searching all over the web and using Adobe Illustrator. This makes things so much simpler and everything is in one place.

Boggled.

A list of absurdly awesome NECESSITIES.

1.   A Diamond encrusted skull
What more could one ask for in life other than the simple things? I would say $100 million worth of diamonds placed onto a skull that’s what. Apparently the peta-hated, almost-satanic Damien Hirst thought the same thing…and created this. True love Damien… true love.

2.   A human sized bird’s next
Why have a tree house when you could chill in a bird’s nest with you and your closest pal? I don’t just want one of these things, I want the whole scene with it. Dream come true.
3.   A Melting clock
Dali lovers? Are you seeing this? Ok. Good.

Shoe shoe shoe shoot me.

Dear Fashion Smorgasbord,

I really, realllllly love the platform pump. I DO. Thank you for that. PREEEESH. I have PLENTY.

BUT.

I would really love some classy, sexy slingbacks. Or some non-platform, pointed toe pumps. Yes, that is correct, I said NON-PLATFORM. I am an extreme fan of utter ridiculous heights..... but can we get some classics also, please?

Dilemma dilemma.

I really hate ceiling fans. They are ugly.... and mine is EXTREMELY ugly. It is the run of the mill, cheap, wood laminate panels with a big, nasty, bulbous light in the middle. No picture neeeded, all of you know what I am talking about.

BUT
On the other hand, I really love them. Let me take that back, I love them because I hate other things more such as: being hot and sweaty (EW). I definitely cannot goto sleep if it is hot in my room.  Living in south Louisiana, you sorrrrrta need it.  I also hate not being able to sleep, besides the fact it keeps me cool, the sound of the fan usually puts me to sleep.

I also hate MY fan in particular, because the light on it does not give enough light. I have the worst lighting in my house imaginable. Clearly, someone wham-bam-thankyou-mam'd my house together overnight because it is lacking in many departments.
That is really the biggest problem. I have added lamps around my room, but anymore would be lamp overload.

SO. My options thus far..... Remove the ugly ceiling fan and install a nice light.

BUT what do I do about keeping my room cool? I was thinking a cool vintage fan would be nice?

Yes? No? HELP.
